Sisters in Fraternity

One of the greatest blessings for me this past year have been the relationships I have formed with my fellow Sisters in religious life, especially the Poor Clares and the Franciscan Sisters. Throughout my Postulancy, I have journeyed with some of these amazing women along our path of following Christ in the example of Saints Francis and Clare. How grace-filled then was the opportunity to spend the Transitus and Feast of St. Clare with my Sisters right before I leave for the Novitiate.

For me, their presence paints a broader, more complete vision of the Franciscan life and charism. I am profoundly thankful for these Sisters, for their encouragement, their prayers, their witness, their inspiration, and their impact on my life and my vocation journey.

The photos below are from this past weekend, when my Postulant brothers and I attended the Profession of Vows for Sr. Kathy Flood, OSF of the Franciscan Sisters of Philadelphia, the Transitus of St. Clare at the Poor Clare Monastery in Chesterfield, NJ, and the Feast of St. Clare at the Capuchin Poor Clare Sisters of St. Veronica Giuliani Monastery in Wilmington, DE.

  1. Thank you for this. It is indeed a blessing to be part of such a family.
